We also saw a dog being rescued by Fire and Rescue - it had fallen down a cliff (maybe escaping from the fireworks) and broken its leg. I think it will OK.

Not a bad way to start the year! Planning to do a bit more that in between work appointments.

They say whatever you do on the first day of the year, you will do for the rest of the year. What are you going to be doing in 2013??
Swimming, researching secondary curriculum, procrastinating rather than gardening : )

A walk to the beach, dogs, fossils, a rescue, swimming,... you know how to start the year! I hope my year doesn't consist of being mostly lazy and hauling firewood in a sled while wearing snowshoes;).
